Friday was an off day for running so I decided to add a new goal in addition to my ‘run two miles’ goal. 100 consecutive push ups. I’ve been seeing this movement grow over the past month or two on various other blogs. You can check out the program here at one hundred push ups.
The initial test of the program is simply finding out how many good form push ups you can do. The last time I did that was five or so years ago back in NYC. I did twenty-six then. I managed twelve a couple days ago. Sigh.
Anyway, I did a few sets of push ups on Friday and we’ll see how that goes over the next six weeks.
For Saturday’s run I decided to shake things up and check out some of the trails around here. I used to spend a lot of time camping and hiking growing up so I’ve been looking forward to this. I took it easy and didn’t do much running but it was fun. I’ll probably do more trail work on my off days.
